FINRA expects on-site investigators will save time

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Chief of Enforcement Susan Merrill says she expects her staff to be involved in more announced on-site inspections and examinations in investigations. Having staff on-site reduces the time it takes to conduct an investigation at a broker-dealer firm because they can request and receive information so much more quickly, she says.
