San Francisco skyscrapers could fall foul of sunlight law

A proposal for seven new skyscrapers near San Francisco's Transbay Terminal could be stymied by a 1984 law that bars the construction of buildings that would cast shadows on the city's parks. City officials say the benefits brought by the project would outweigh any impact on local parks, and they are trying to modify the no-shadows rule.
