SBA uses up $375M in stimulus funds allotted for loan program

The $375 million of economic-stimulus funding Congress set aside to back loans managed through the Small Business Administration and waive fees associated with those loans has been used up. The SBA had expected the fund to last into December, but loan applications surged last week. The agency has established a Web site where banks and small businesses can check to see whether their applications made it in time.
