Schumer urges crackdown on frequent-flier programs

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., is calling for a federal investigation into airline frequent-flier programs. Schumer has asked the Transportation Department to look into consumer complaints about mileage expiration, and he is urging greater regulation of mileage programs. "We cannot let airlines and credit card companies continue to fly off with hard-earned frequent-flier miles," he said in a statement.
