Study: Higher cost-savings with 3-month supply of prescription drugs

Consumers can save an average of 29% in out-of-pocket expenses if they buy three-month instead of one-month supplies of prescription medicines, a U.S. study found. "These savings may not seem large to some, but they could help trim the cost of health care, which is especially important given the nationwide debate about how to finance health care reform," said the study's senior author.
