Thanksgiving meal provides lesson for students with special needs

The annual Thanksgiving feast at an Ohio school for students with autism and other learning disabilities gives students gives students what an administrator called "a hands-on lesson in cooperation, sharing and community" as they helped prepare a meal for some 200 students, parents and alumni. The students were provided with visual recipes as they rotated through stations, taking part in short tasks in food preparation. "The visual is just much easier for them to process," a teacher said.
