Americans are very skeptical about advertising claims, poll shows

Just 19% of American adults believe advertisers are honest in their claims all or most of the time, and 13% say they never trust advertising, according to an Adweek Media/Harris Poll. In addition, older adults are more skeptical than their younger counterparts, with 81% of those older than 55 years old saying they believe claims sometimes, compared with 90% of Americans age 18 to 34.
