InterContinental to beef up presence in India, China, Middle East

InterContinental plans to open nearly 200 hotels in China, India and the Middle East by 2020, more than doubling its presence in those markets. Thirty-eight hotels are slated to open in the Middle East, with 150 planned for India. The move should help better position the hotel chain to take advantage of the Chinese market, which InterContinental says will likely become the world's largest by 2025.
