TSA seeks to reassure holiday travelers

The Transportation Security Administration on Monday sought to reassure holiday travelers about its new screening procedures and reiterated that the new full-body scanners were necessary to deter security threats. Officials also noted that just 1% of travelers have declined to pass through scanners and have instead chosen a pat-down. Meanwhile, TSA Administrator John Pistole said the TSA is working to "blend privacy and security" and ease travelers' concerns about privacy.
