British government to fund pilot TV channel for teachers

The Department for Education and Skills is soliciting private corporate sponsors to help underwrite a TV service for educators. If the February test launch proves successful, Teachers' TV next fall will begin presenting 18 hours of daily programming covering distance learning diplomas and other professional development topics.
