Pollster: Unbundled fares are "the new normal"

More than two-thirds of voters in an unscientific poll at Airfarewatchdog.com said the airline trend toward unbundled pricing is "a big step backward." But George Hobica, founder of the site, says a la carte pricing represents "the new normal," adding that the poll results were surprisingly positive for the airline industry. "We honestly expected that 99.9% of respondents would be thumbs down," he noted.
