Researchers urge more studies on off-label use of 14 drugs

Fourteen broadly prescribed medicines, including the psychiatric drug Seroquel and the blood thinner warfarin, need to be studied further to test their safety and efficacy for unapproved applications, according to a U.S. study. The lead researcher did not recommend against off-label prescription but said authorities should step up efforts to monitor the practice.
