Social-networking sites put cafe where consumers are

Werner and Uschi Beck have seen traffic grow on their Cool Beans Cafe & Arts Web site since they began using social-networking sites to promote the Bradenton, Fla., coffee shop. The Becks illustrate a trend in marketing for small businesses, says David Doty of Interactive Advertising Bureau in New York. "You want to make sure you are where the consumer is and more and more the consumer is online."
