Sprint names interim CDMA executive; Garcia departs

Sprint Nextel has confirmed, but declined to comment on, news that top CDMA executive John Garcia is stepping down. The company has named Keith Cowan, head of its strategy and corporate development unit, to replace him on an interim basis. Garcia's departure follows similar moves by several top executives in the past year. Sprint recently began offering voluntary incentives to some employees to leave the company.
