Column: Adjusted construction starts fall in October

After accounting for a seasonal adjustment, October construction starts declined 3% from September, writes Jim Haughey. He notes that residential starts declined 37% from the year-ago level, while nonresidential building fell 19%. Meanwhile, experts said educational and health care construction might grow next year, and they predicted significant improvement in the overall economy.
