ExxonMobil overtakes Valero as top U.S. oil refiner, EIA reports

Data from the Energy Information Administration showed that ExxonMobil will become the country's biggest refiner, surpassing Valero Energy, which opted to close its Delaware plant. Valero's capacity fell from 2 million barrels per day to 1.82 million after the shutdown, while ExxonMobil boasts an overall production capability of 1.87 million barrels per day.
