Kentucky governor pushes for slots at state racetracks

Kentucky is still trying to join neighboring states in offering expanded gambling, even as revenue declines at Indiana's riverboat casinos and racinos. Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has proposed a plan to install video lottery terminals at state racetracks. "We start at zero, because all our Kentuckians who want to spend their entertainment dollars in some type of gaming activity are having to go out of state," said Beshear.
