Vogue taps Obama campaign's Web consultant

Conde Nast's Vogue, looking to build online revenues and move toward a paid subscription model for Vogue.com, has hired Blue State Digital, the firm that helped raise $500 million for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Behind the decision, said Vogue publishing director Tom Florio, was this query: "Can we take a strategy to build a political candidate and apply it to a magazine like Vogue?"
