RIM kicks out Kik messenger app

Research In Motion has removed the popular Kik messenger app from its BlackBerry App World as a result of unspecified contractual breaches. Some speculate the move was meant to prevent Kik from competing with RIM's own BlackBerry messenger. The month-old app, which is also available for the iPhone and Android smartphones, currently has about 2.5 million users.
