BIM is big at York University

York University's Patrick Saavedra told a crowd at the Canadian Construction Association's recent forum that BIM can create "top notch" buildings and "is a natural catalyst for integrated project delivery," Kelly Lapointe writes. The school has used BIM in about 14 of its projects, including the Pan Am Athletic Stadium. "Every team who went after these projects were being done in fully integrated BIM ... if we're not BIM savvy we're not going to be able to make renovations in the future," Saavedra said.
