Google crafts SDK for Chromecast dongle

Google is coming up with an SDK for its Chromecast USB dongle and is summoning developers to meet next month at its headquarters in Mountain View, Calif., for a two-day hackathon. Chromecast allows users to stream content from HBO, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube and others to televisions through mobile devices and PCs. Meanwhile, developers are appreciative of the preview release of the Glass Development Kit, but are looking for Google to provide more information on the direction it will take with the Google Glass wearable device, Seth Rosenblatt writes.
