Ill. officials expect more reports of home damage from tornadoes

At least 900 homes were severely damaged or destroyed by the storm that spawned tornadoes in Illinois on Nov. 17, according to state officials. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency has yet to complete its count of affected homes in the city of Washington, where the storm damage was most severe, said Patti Thompson, a spokeswoman for the agency. The tornado outbreak affected about 1,000 homes in Washington, according to the city's mayor.
