Jury is still out on paleo diet philosophy, RD says

The paleo diet that calls for giving up processed foods and eating like our ancestors has gained popularity, registered dietitian Timi Gustafson writes, but some experts are not convinced it can be accurately replicated using modern foods. The health effects of a paleo diet have not been scientifically proven yet and while it may have some benefits, it still is more important to focus on eating the healthiest foods, regardless of dietary philosophy, Gustafson writes.
