Neb. school district places greater emphasis on STEM

Columbus Public Schools in Nebraska is boosting its programs in science, technology, engineering and math at all grade levels. Columbus High School now offers project-based courses in mechatronics, engineering, construction technology and more. The local business community also has invested in the district's STEM efforts, and Central Community College-Columbus is partnering with the high school to prepare more students for technical careers after graduation.
