Prenatal steroid exposure may increase ADHD risk in preemies

Children born to mothers who received glucocorticoid injections before premature birth were more likely to develop attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other mental health conditions later in life than those born at the same gestational age but not exposed to steroids while in the womb, according to a study published in the journal PLOS One.
