Students celebrate Thanksgiving with generosity, traditions

Students throughout the U.S. celebrated the spirit of Thanksgiving by thinking of those who are less fortunate and enjoying cultural celebrations with their families. In Sioux City, Iowa, Native American students look forward to sharing traditional dishes, such as frybread, during the holiday. Fourth-graders in Hermantown, Minn., met at a supermarket to buy items to give to a food bank. Elementary-school students in Oklahoma donated more than $7,500 worth of food and supplies to help students who don't have access to free meals when school is out.
