FAA reauthorization provides money for construction, bomb-screening technology

The re-authorization bill for the Federal Aviation Administration was passed only after the Bush administration agreed not to privatize air traffic control positions for one year. The bill also provides $14 billion for airport construction projects and $2 billion for automated baggage bomb-screening machines.
