Smithfield will not sell meat from cloned cows

Smithfield Foods announced it will not produce meat products from cloned animals. "The science involved in cloning animals is relatively new. As thoughtful leaders in our industry, we will continue to monitor this technology," the company said. Dean Foods, Stonyfield Farms and Ben & Jerry's are among the companies that have pledged not to use milk from cloned cows.
