Virginia Islamic school defends itself against calls for its closure

After a federal commission recommended recently that the K-12 Islamic Saudi Academy in Virginia be shut down, school officials are again trying to rebut criticism that has come in waves since Sept. 11, 2001. The school's curriculum is based on a modified version of Saudi Arabia's curriculum, which critics say propagates an extreme version of Islam and religious intolerance.
