Increase of "Velcro hotels" a sign of the times

Hotels such as the former Fairfax Hotel in Washington, D.C., that frequently change flags have been dubbed "Velcro hotels." While the frequent rotation of brands may have disadvantages for guests, such as not offering a consistent loyalty program, Velcro hotels are probably here to stay as panicked hoteliers switch flags in difficult times.
