Breast-, bottle-fed preemies use same amount of energy

Breast-feeding doesn't require any more or less resting energy than bottle-feeding for preterm infants, researchers reported in Pediatrics. They said it probably was safe to recommend breast-feeding for preterm infants born at least 32 weeks gestational age once they tolerate oral feeding.
