CEA-CNET study shows consumers are ready to spend

In what surely will provide some much-needed holiday cheer to consumer-electronics companies and retailers, the most recent estimates from CEA and CNET show that consumers now are more likely to make tech purchases than they have been in more than two years. The latest joint study on consumer-spending plans in the CE category reached an index of 93.5, the highest level since the groups developed the gauge in January 2007.
