Unitas receives 9 bids for S. Korea's Buy The Way

Most of the offers for Buy The Way, a South Korean retailer with 1,400 convenience stores, were in excess of $260 million, a source said. Unitas Capital, a private-equity firm focused on Asia, acquired Buy The Way in July 2006 in a deal worth roughly $200 million. Bidders for the retail chain include private-equity funds, Korean and Japanese buyers.
