Increased daily exercise boosts women's health in middle age

Women who took fewer than 6,000 steps daily were more likely to be overweight or obese and to develop type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome at midlife than those who took 6,000 or more steps, a Brazilian study revealed. The results appear in the journal Menopause.
