Wis. historians file 2012 campaign into archives

The 2012 election season may have concluded only a couple of weeks ago but to the Wisconsin Historical Society, the signs, brochures and bumper stickers of state and national candidates now are among the society's archives. "We have a history of collecting in the moment," said Helmut Knies, archival supervisor. "The society has a long tradition going back decades of collecting contemporary history. As best we can, we try to keep up that."
