Boeing issued a warning to carriers about an engine-icing risk on its 747-8s and 787s. The aircraft, which are equipped with GEnx engines, are at risk of engine icing when flying within 50 nautical miles of thunderstorms. The aircraft manufacturer said it plans to "work closely" with GE on finding a solution.
