The application deadline for consumers seeking insurance coverage by Jan. 1 under the Affordable Care Act was moved Friday by the White House from Dec. 15 to Dec. 23. "We want to give people time to make their decisions," CMS spokeswoman Julie Bataille said. The change affects coverage that begins on Jan. 1, while the deadline for 2014 coverage is still March 31.
