Eateries cater to changing tastes with new delivery options

Three-quarters of restaurant meals are consumed off-premises these days, said NRA's Hudson Riehle, a trend that's growing as patrons find takeout and delivery fit better into their busy lives. Chains including Chili's and Burger King have added delivery services in markets across the country, figuring out as they go how to make it cost-effective to make sure meals that have been in the car for 20 minutes or more arrive hot and fresh.
