Experts examine childhood obesity rates in the U.S.

One in 10 low-income American children were obese, with boys showing greater obesity odds than girls, a study in Pediatrics indicated. Researchers also found Hispanic and Native American children had a 35% and 49% higher obesity risk than whites, respectively, while blacks were 8% less likely than whites to be obese.
