How some school libraries are becoming digital learning centers

Some school librarians are looking to virtual learning commons to transform the traditional library setting. A Pennsylvania school has launched such a platform, where students can share photos, host virtual book clubs and connect with authors. In a New York school, students participate in the school's VLC by serving on the iStaff, which allows students to be responsible for specific aspects of the program and to help train teachers and students to use it.
