Mobile games' cost per install exceeds user revenue, study says

The cost of getting a user to install a mobile game is typically $2.73, while the average user revenue for free-to-play titles is $1.96, according to a study by SuperData. "Over the course of 2012, the cost per install on iOS increased 22% from the beginning to the end of the year. In some categories, we even recorded a tripling of the cost for an average mobile gamer," the market research firm states.
