Next Wal-Mart chief follows footsteps of CEO Duke

Doug McMillon replaced Mike Duke as head of Wal-Mart Stores' international division when the latter was named CEO in 2009, and he will replace Duke again when he becomes CEO on Feb. 1. McMillon, who joined the company as a teenage summer associate in 1984 and returned after earning an MBA, said in 2008, "I learned more in the first six months at Wal-Mart than I learned in 5½ years of post-secondary education."
