Private labels affect pet supply sales

APPA estimates that pet owners will spend more than $55 billion on their pets this year, up from $50 billion in 2011, and private-label manufacturers are getting into the market. A&P, Aldi's, CVS and Wal-Mart all offer store-brand pet products. While bigger labels still dominate the market, such private labels are gaining market traction.
