Researchers develop TCA technology for grid operators

Consultants at The Brattle Group, along with researchers at Boston University, are developing software technology based on topology control algorithms to aid power-grid operators in managing power flows, easing congestion and integrating sources of renewable energy. The project, which is expected to turn out initial results in the fourth quarter of 2014, is being funded by the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy.
