Microsoft speeds into the in-car software biz

Several car makers, including BMW, Honda and Volvo, have agreed to install Microsoft's Windows CE operating system to run various in-car electronics. Microsoft hasn't said much about this new business, but chairman Bill Gates is expected to lay out his vision in this area at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.
