P&G looks for compromise in current wave of lawsuits

Procter & Gamble has been sued by competitors five times in the past 13 months over alleged false claims in advertisements that compare P&G products to rivals such as Georgia-Pacific's Brawny paper towels and Kimberly-Clark's Huggies diapers. P&G says its advertisements point out product benefits but the company's CEO is also concerned the lawsuits will "undermine industry credibility." The company is working to find compromises and has settled some of the suits.
