FTC to review accuracy of "green" ads

Responding to the increasing popularity of "green" campaigns, the FTC is moving up a planned 2009 review of the accuracy of environmentally friendly claims made by marketers. Last updated in 1998, the agency's "Green Guides" are advisory documents meant to help marketers ensure that their eco-friendly claims about their products or services are in accordance with the law.
