Macy's CEO upbeat on May's acquisition decision

Some investors were concerned that Macy's purchase of May Co. in 2005 would only postpone an eventual company decline. Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren said the expansion is helping during the economic downturn. "I would hate to be in a position where I only had a bunch of regional department stores to compete in this environment," he said.
