Sweden leads Euros in fiber-to-home connections

With 8.3% of its households hooked up to fiber-to-the-home connections, Sweden can boast the highest FTTH penetration rate in Europe, followed by Norway at 7.2%, according to industry findings. While FTTH penetration rates exceed 1% in only eight European countries, they are far higher in the Asia/Pacific region, the home of 27 million of the world's 32 million optical access line connections.
