Expert: Rail projects will make for stronger economy

CSX's National Gateway project is expected to be completed this spring. The project, across six states, will expand rail capacity and make room for double-stack freight cars. Rail projects like this and others will ease traffic congestion and allow for less expensive and quicker delivery of goods, said John Spychalski, professor emeritus of supply-chain management at Pennsylvania State University.
